Charity & Not-for-profit Assistant Manager

A long-standing and dynamic city firm requires an experienced, ambitious and enthusiastic Audit Manager/Assistant Manager that is passionate about making a difference to their clients and adding value to there growing practice. Successful candidates will be fully qualified (ACCA or ACA) and be able to establish themselves as a solid source of technical audit insight as well as help mentor and motivate junior colleagues.

Experience in the Charity & Not-for-profit is essential, as is an authentic passion for the sector which you will bring to the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the Senior Manager provide strong management, leadership and direction within the Not-for-profit division.
* Proactively manage an allocated portfolio of NFP and commercial clients, identifying business opportunities, anticipating future accounting issues and managing all stages of audit.
* Provide accurate, transparent and timely service to your portfolio and adhering to time pressured deadlines.
* Partner and collaborate across the division, providing advice to Partners and Senior Managers as well as mentoring trainees and developing staff.
* Managing audit teams, reviewing work output and motivating high performance and also assisting with recruitment.

Key Requirements:

* Accountancy trained with substantial audit skills, experience and technical knowledge.
* Current and comprehensive knowledge of Charity SORP.
* Proven ability to successfully manage a portfolio of clients.
* Extensive experience working in practise, individuals currently working in Charity industry looking to return to practise will be considered.
* Sharp, accurate, analytical, and personable character with impeccable communication skills.
* Experience of systems such as Pro-Audit, Caseware and CCH would be an advantage.

Qualifications:

* ACCA or ACA qualified.
* Audit based accountancy training

Benfits:

This role is looking to pay between GBP48,000-50,000 per annum with a generous benefits package including medical cover, health insurance and interest-free Season Ticket loan after 3 months.
