Our client, a multi-national banking and Financial Services company headquartered in Europe, wishes to recruit a qualified accountant to take responsibility for managing a small team, ensuring that all Financial and Management reporting is produced and submitted to the relevant stakeholders on a timely basis.
Role Overview:
- Management of the Reporting team
- Production and submission of all financial information submitted to Head - Office in respect of the London office and consolidated Special Purpose Entities
- Production and submission of statutory accounts produced for the Special Purpose entities
- Production and submission of statistical returns
- Maintain effective control environment over reporting processes and general ledger controls including FX sell off, balance sheet certification and internal suspense account reconciliation
- Liaison with Compliance and the business in respect of information requests from the PRA and other stakeholders
- Ensure that changes in IFRS and other reporting rules are identified and applied to relevant reports
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with up to 3 years' PQE
- proven track record in management, cost and financial accounting, gained within the banking/financial services sector
- Strong analytical skills
- Experienced in overseeing junior staff
- Strong IT skills including MS Office, and other packages including Business Objects and an ERP system (i.e. SAP, Oracle or JD Edwards)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
