TQR are excited to be working with our client to recruit a strong and confident person to join their finance team as a 'Management Accountant'. This is an exciting opportunity to join this highly successful national, multi-site business in a key role. The position is permanent and the right person will be a CIMA / Part Qualified / AAT Qualified Management Accountant with proven skills in a commercial business role coupled with experience in a manufacturing organisation. You will be driven and a self-starter who is keen to further your career in a growing organisation. About the job???
The main objective of the position is to produce and analyze financial information to support the Financial Controller and the rest of the senior accounting team. The main responsibilities are Key objectives include:
• Produce monthly management accounts. This will involve carrying out analytical reviews and investigating, if applicable, any unexpected movements to budget.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and the corresponding audit information pack.
• Produce monthly and yearly budgets including being able to prepare cash flow, p&l and balance sheet forecasts
• Promptly complete balance sheet reconciliations (including updating and maintaining fixed asset registers) ensuring any outstanding items are fully investigated
• Prepare costings information as required
• Carryout ad hoc functions, reporting and analysis as directed by the Financial Controller
• Familiarise and review all aspects of financial accounting systems operated
The right person ???
• Experienced Management Accountant who has worked within a manufacturing company
• Will have experience of preparing costings
• CIMA qualified / part qualified or AAT Qualified.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working to deadlines
• IT Skills especially MS excel and word and have the aptitude to learn new accounting systems
• Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with colleagues and customers
• Commercially minded with an analytical approach to work
