AV Engineer/Lead AV Engineer

Most jobs based in Surrey, occasional travel required to office in Tenterden, Kent 

£18k - £35k per annum

Moving forward with the change in technologies and making use of their dedicated engineering teams, they are now specialists at the top end of the home and commercial automation industry.

As an AV Engineer/Lead AV Engineer you will need these skills:

  • Strong ability to work alone and own initiative
  • Ability to carry out installation activities on time, on spec and within budget
  • Organised, flexible and approach different types of tasks during the working day
  • Very good communication skills
  • Have a good understanding of 1st and 2nd fix AV installations
  • Have excellent soldering, crimp and terminating skills
  • Ability to work from instructions from Project Managers, but also to think laterally and suggest engineering solutions on site
  • Work from schematics, terminating sheets, site plans and projector drawings
  • Have strong mechanical skills
  • Flexible and adapt to various situations put to them

Key Responsibilities and Duties of the AV Engineer/Lead AV Engineer:

  • Installation of AV projects to completion, and managing of sites as necessary
  • Liaise with Project Manager on Project technical aspects, and an ability to liaise with the client or main contractor as necessary
  • Flexible approach to project changes on site – escalating changes and variations to the Project Manager
  • Provides updates to Installation Manager/Project Manager on site progress
  • Assist the Project Manager in managing change and variation in the project
  • Maintain installation tools
