Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a permanent FP&A Manager for a reputable financial services organisation based in Greater Manchester. The role provides commercial support to several critical areas of the business - with an overall remit to drive commercial and financial awareness throughout the company.

The role

To provide commercial financial support and insight through business intelligence to enable stakeholders to make the decisions that matter quickly, while, providing support in order to maintain and enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and performance of the business as a whole. This individual will work closely alongside the senior stakeholders of the business as well as being a key member of the finance team.

General duties include but not limited to:-

*) Finance Business Partnering several key areas of the business
*) Producing high quality and accurate financial information to enable the business to make stronger strategic and commercial decisions
*) Support Corporate Plan development
*) Management of the quarterly reforecasting process
*) Stress testing / scenario impact assessment
*) Looking at trends, KPI's of revenues/costs/capital expenditure and cash flow and also financial planning
*) Board reporting
*) Support business-wide Business Intelligence development

The person

The successful applicant will be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant coupled with strong academics either making your first move from practice (top10) or coming from a similar role within industry.

You will ideally have exposure of the financial services sector in a highly commercial role with an in depth understanding of business intelligence reporting. Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and sequel and experience of working with business intelligence software would be desirable. Ability to develop and maintain financial models, ideally with experience in planning and forecasting

You will have a strong desire and ability to improve existing controls and processes, be critical in paying attention to detail and have high standards of accuracy. The ideal candidate will be diligent with an analytical mind, and be meet individual and team targets. We require an ambitious proactive individual who has excellent technical, interpersonal, communication and numerical skills. You will be motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and personable, actively contributing to business strategy.
