Job Title: Marketing Analytics Specialist
Location: London
Salary: to GBP100,000 + bonus & benefits
The Marketing Analytics Specialist will lead a team of analysts who will focus on: Direct Mail, Customer Management and Membership Services (cross-selling), Customer research and Digital/Web analytics.
The primary responsibilities are to:
• Own the effectiveness of the direct mail and other offline programme strategy and selection.
• Own the overall list management and targeting strategy to maximise value from available sources
• Design tests to ensure samples and test metrics are appropriate for significance testing
• Liaise with Decision Science to ensure targeting models are fit for purpose
• Develop the targeting metrics with Finance and Value Management to determine selections are driven by business value
• Review all campaign and test performance, feeding results and conclusions back to product owners
• Deliver customer, prospect and market insight in a clear and compelling way and to provide advice/recommendations to aid delivery of strategic Marketing priorities.
• Support long-term sustainable new business growth by defining target markets, optimising targeting and defining consumer needs
• Increase the profitability of the existing customer base by developing innovative information-driven CRM strategies that can be executed by DM, SMS, email and Call Centre
• Develop and deliver low-cost and frequent customer insights via channels other than traditional research
• Act as a conduit between internal data analysis teams (Decision Sciences and Value Management) to specify requirements and translate results into actionable recommendations.
• Provide insightful customer research, including survey selection and results breakdown, providing output in terms of actionable suggestions.
• Provide input into online targeting strategy, in conjunction with channel owners, to maximise the value from available sub channels including PPC, SEO, display and affiliates.
• Design tests to ensure samples and test metrics are appropriate for significance testing
• Input into the end to end process for website optimisation, ensuring the onsite experience is constantly improved via vigorous A/B testing and analysis of conversion funnels and other key analysis metrics.
• Provide through leadership, insight and expertise.
• Ensure team member are constantly stretched and challenged with new projects and approaches, whilst ensuring all BAU processes are maintained and optimised.
Candidate Profile
• Experience in a strategic analytical role
• Team leadership experience including defining the team strategy, prioritisation, workload allocation, project management, leading and training staff.
• Commercial experience of complex analytical and statistical techniques, e.g. cluster analysis, regression, CHAID, profiling, data mining, t tests for significance.
• Experience in working with large customer or transaction-level datasets
• Responsibility for specifying and delivering small-scale analytical projects including external vendor management.
• Honours degree (2:1 or better) in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Physical Sciences or Statistics
• Proficient in SAS (Base) with practical experience in a commercial environment
