Network Operations Analyst/CCNA - Days and Nights
A contractor Network Operations Analyst to identify and investigate network faults and resolutions as appropriate. Must have CCNA along with data network infrastructure and technologies. This is an initial 3 month contract, with an option to extend for another 12 months, for our financial services client in Buckinghamshire.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Network Operations Analyst to monitor and control the organisations computer networks to ensure maximum performance. Working on a day and night shift pattern, operating 12 hours with average of 38 hour week Monday to Friday.
The Post Holder will need to:
* Identify and investigate network faults and resolution or escalation
* Co-ordination of network rollouts and upgrades.
* Configuration of network devices
* Implementation of business or project changes including DNS change, Load Balancer traffic switching
* Escalation and liaison with suppliers and internal technical teams
* Manage communication and workflow using Remedy and other standard desktop packages
* 1st and 2nd line Fault investigation
Skills required:
* CCNS and good understanding of data network infrastructure
* Good working knowledge of Ethernet, IP and TCP
* Operational experience of Cisco routers and switches
* Experience of F5 Load balancers
* Operational experience of Voice networks and related technologies
* Experience of Avaya/Genesys VOIP technology, IVR, Voice recording etc
* Ability to display analytical and fault finding skills
* Strong communicator
* Desirable skills include CA Spectrum & Ehealth
* Experience or understanding of Alteon or F5 Load Balancers
* Experience of MPLS networks, WAN technologies, ADSL
* Ideally experience of Firewall technologies
