Senior Commercial Insurance Broking Manager - Surrey

GBP high level market rate & management bonus & car/car allowance & package
Our client is an independent privately owned Insurance brokerage, established for over 30 years, servicing the Corporate and SME market. They enjoy partner status with leading Insurers, and have extensive facilities throughout the market.

As part of their succession planning, they are seeking to appoint a Broking Manager, to lead the team during a period of further planned expansion of market offerings, acquisitions and transformation. Working closely with the Board of Directors, contributing to strategic operations decisions.

•The Manager will have overall responsibility for a headcount of 30 + staff - Account Handlers & Executives, ensuring effective resource allocation, staff performance, meeting of KPIs and sales targets.
•Identifying training requirements; appraisals; mentoring, guiding, providing a source of technical expertise; recruitment interviewing
•Managing Insurer relations
•Having personal responsibility for book of key larger client relationships.
• Representing at compliance meetings.

Skills & experience required:

•Applicants should be able to offer high level expertise as a 'hands on' Commercial Insurance Broking Manager.
•Up to date technical product and market knowledge across all classes of Commercial Insurance risks.
•Up to date knowledge of FCA requirements and compliance regulatory developments.
•Strong 'people management' skills - confident to inspire, mentor, energise, and lead by example.
•Strong client relationship skills, with a keen sense of business acumen.
•Strong IT skills, with a confident knowledge of broker on-line platforms
•ACII or good progression is preferred.
