Commercial Insurance Account Handler/Executive
GBP35,000 - GBP38,000 + car allowance & benefits
Surrey/Middlesex border
Varied role with well established firm of Chartered Insurance Brokers, where they service a mixed portfolio of clients, drawn from a wide sector - including for example Transport & Logistics groups, Property Owners, IT companies, Food conglomerates, Construction firms, Retailers etc. They quote and place in a wide company market, and have strong relationships with leading insurers.
Taking full responsibility for own allocated portfolio of existing Commercial Insurance clients; office based, while undertaking regular client visits.
Ensuring that renewals are successfully re-broked to the market, to ensure high levels of business retention.
Undertaking all servicing and renewal visits; accurately identify client insurance and risk management requirements; discussing mid term adjustments and service requirements; identifying opportunities for extension to cover and new business.
Working closely with broking support colleagues to ensure an excellent seamless service.
Managing and strengthening insurer relationships.
Skills & experience required:
5 -8 years Commercial Insurance Broking experience, with at least 2 years experience in a client facing capacity. Confident product knowledge across the major classes of business - Property, Liability, Commercial Combined, C.A.R, Business Interruption, Professional Indemnity, D & O etc.
Strong interpersonal skills
Keen sense of business acumen
Accuracy and attention to detail
Up to date knowledge of Commercial Insurance market activities, risk appetite and insurer offerings.
Up to date knowledge of FCA requirements, TCF.
Cert CII/ACII or good progression is an advantage
