Compliance Risk Specialist
Circa GBP45,000 + Bonus and benefits

My client is one of the UK's leading general insurance and financial services companies, Who offer employees the opportunities to grow and recognise and reward their contribution. The role is to manage and control the risk and compliance activities of the department and provide assurance that the department complies with the firm's policies, frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Job Specification

* Identify, analyse, record and report on emerging compliance risks, including process, regulatory and market risks.
* Assess, recommend and influence departmental controls, processes and practice to ensure compliance with agreed standards, identifying gaps and advising appropriate courses of action.
* Facilitate the communication of regulatory and legislative changes to ensure the team have the required awareness and understanding needed to meet requirements.
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with teams and Head Office departments such as Group Compliance, Customer Services FS and Group Propositions to support the management of risk.
* Assess, investigate and coordinate responses to incidents and issues to minimise their impact, restore normal operation, and ensure root causes are established and corrective action taken.
* Deliver short term / one-off projects and activities as required by and to the standards and outcomes agreed with Line Manager.

Person Specification

* Knowledge of compliance risk frameworks preferred
* Understanding of the regulatory and legislative frameworks
* Good judgement and decision making skills in relation to risk assessments and mitigation
* Strong communication and relationship building skills
* Proven time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales.
* Experience of managing and influencing multiple stakeholders at various levels

Qualifications/Other

* Graduate Calibre
* QCF4 desirable or other relevant professional qualification
