JOB: Accountant, LOCATION: Brighton
The job of Accountant has become available in Brighton on a permanent basis. Working in a central location, the office is modern, open plan and close to all amenities and transport links. There is a parking space with this role.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be a strong, technical chartered accountant, responsible for a team and the overall finances of the business. A strong all round finance professional, you will need to be both a hands on operational head of department, coupled with being a commercially astute, strategic member of the board.
Building a team around you, you will be responsible for monthly and annual accounting processes and ensuring the department can present current and accurate figures, and analyse and produce financial reports and projections for the senior managers and the board.
The duties include but are not limited to:
* Provision of evaluation of business strategy plans with risk analysis and due diligence evidence
* Prepare and deliver all of the financial results for the company annually
* Produce monthly management accounts, liaising with budget holders where necessary
* Prepare annual budgets and forecasts
* Manage the tender process for external providers to ensure cost efficiency of business agreements
* Ensure company has adequate working capital and available funds whilst maintaining financial reserves
* Management, development and growth of the finance team
This role will suit an experienced finance professional who has been an integral part of company growth previously and has a proven track record of re-engineering a finance department and strategy.
