Our client has offices based across Lancashire and is part of a global accountancy firm with an established and enviable reputation. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to expand their team and an opportunity has arisen within the tax team as a Personal Tax Adviser.

Ultimately our clients wants you to be able to provide an excellent tax service to its clients` in accordance with their values, procedures, prevailing legislation and good professional practice. Its aim is to always meet or exceed the expectations and needs of its clients.

This is not your `run of the mill` chartered accountancy firm. They are vibrant and dynamic and provide a business advisory service as well as accountancy services. The company has ambitious growth plans and being part of a global network with international connections, there is a wonderful source of secondment opportunities potentially available.

Our client is looking for someone to play an active role within the team, who wants to contribute to its success and the firm as a whole. They look for people that are passionate about providing great customer service, who can communicate with people at all levels and are able to use their initiative and be organised and motivated.

Main duties to include:

-Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, preparing tax returns and providing personal tax advice and support to the client base
-Working with tax and general practice team members to provide first class and cohesive service to clients
-Preparing forms P11d and tax credit claims
-Managing own work to budget and raising fees to clients
-Assisting in training junior team members
-Identifying tax planning opportunities for clients

We are looking for:

-An experienced personal tax adviser
-Someone to either currently be in a personal tax senior role, and acting for high net worth individuals, or hold a lower level position and is looking to increase their skills and knowledge
-Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and a Tax Return software packages (pro tax in particular would be advantageous)
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills as there will be contact with clients at all levels
-Good organisational skills as well as the ability to take initiative and contribute to the team output
-Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines
-Someone who is able to undertake a split role between our clients Bury and Blackburn offices

In return you can expect:

-GBP30-GBP32k salary
-Annualised based on 36.25 per week (possibility of part time will be considered)
-23 days holiday + Bank Holidays
