Adecco Recruitment in Preston, are currently recruiting for on behalf of our client, a Financial Planning/Pensions Consultant to work for a leading Financial organisation based in the heart of Preston City Centre.

This role is ideal for candidates who have a financial planning diploma (or working towards) are working as Financial Administrator, but seeking to get into a Consultant role. The role is responsible for giving pensions advice to employees onsite at client locations throughout the NorthWest, and requires a valid UK Driving license in addition to Financial Planning diploma or working towards diploma.

Salary is GBP22-24K and is 1/2 Admin based, and 1/2 Advisor level.

Working as part of the employee benefits team, this role requires onsite visits to client companies based in Northwest and throughout UK about 3 x monthly, but some onsite projects will last 3 days in order to allow enough time to meet with all staff. You will be talking to employees, not management.

Job Purpose

To contribute to the growth and development of the business and to provide financial advice to clients of the company by following the company policies, procedures and to deliver the agreed services to clients in accordance with the company proposition and client agreements.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Financial Planning Team

Provide financial advice to clients of the company that are allocated to you.
Deliver the agreed levels of service in line with the client agreement and the Company client propositions/fee levels.

Attend Company meeting as required.

Assist the Company in the development of Adviser Support staff by working with the

Adviser Support Manager, Associate Directors and Directors.

Provide technical assistance and support to other members of staff. Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Actively seek prospective clients through the development of your own connections and through client referrals.

Develop on-going relationships with Professional Introducers, including those which have been specifically allocated to you.

Meeting activity targets set by the company.

Other duties as requested by the directors or your line manager from time to time.
Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills relevant to the responsibilities of the role.

Compliance and the Business

To be authorised by and meet professional criteria required by the Company's Regulators.

Compliance with Company procedures and a through understanding of the requirements of its Regulators as applied the requirements of the role, in particular to investment advisory services,

To ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering, Data Protection, Anti-Bribery,

Corporate Hospitality policies and procedures.

To ensure compliance with any future legislation or regulatory policies, which may become relevant to the business in the future.

Act as a role model to all other members of staff.

Assist the directors of the company from time to time in business related matters when invited.

Business Development
To actively contribute to the growth and development of the business through positive contributions at meetings.

To achieve targets as set by the business development group and the business in respect of both business development activity and income generation to the business.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

An awareness of the company's objectives and business development plans.

An understanding of the company's client services.

An awareness of the company's training policy, regulatory and general procedures as they apply to the responsibilities of the job.

Thorough knowledge of the relevant software packages relevant to the job.
Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills relevant to the responsibilities of the role and be committed to a programme of continuous improvement as required by the business.

Hold a professional Diploma Qualification (as recognised by the CII / PFS)

Maintain CPD training and records in accordance with the requirements of that

Chartered Qualification to demonstrate competency to the relevant Professional Body, CII / PFS and FCA as required.

Hold and maintain a SPS (Statement of Professional Standing).

Additional examinations as may be required from time to time in order to meet the demands of the role.

Full clean driving licence.
