Our client has offices based across Lancashire and is part of a global accountancy firm with an established and enviable reputation. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to expand their team and an opportunity has arisen within the payroll department at the Blackburn offices.
Ultimately our client wants you to be able to provide an excellent service to its clients` in accordance with their values, procedures, prevailing legislation and good professional practice. Its aim is to always meet or exceed the expectations and needs of its clients.
This is not your `run of the mill` chartered accountancy firm. They are vibrant and dynamic and provide a business advisory service as well as accountancy services. The company has ambitious growth plans and being part of a global network with international connections, there is a wonderful source of secondment opportunities potentially available.
Our client is looking for someone to play an active role within the team, who wants to contribute to its success and the firm as a whole. They look for people that are passionate about providing great customer service, who can communicate with people at all levels and are able to use their initiative and be organised and motivated.
Due to its continued success, an opportunity has arisen to join their growing Corporate Services team for an experienced Semi Senior or Senior. The Corporate Services team works with a wide range of exciting and interesting clients, principally owner managed businesses and corporate subsidiaries, law firms and charities. They are looking for; part qualified, newly qualified or qualified (ACA or ACCA), looking to progress your career and have experience of working on a wide range of accounting and auditing assignments.
Main duties to include:
-Leading audit assignments of clients of varying sizes and across many sectors
-Understanding and reviewing corporate tax computations
-Controlling the production of accounts for your portfolio of clients
-Working on special projects with the corporate finance and tax teams
-Actively supporting other members of the Corporate Services team
-Building strong mentor/client relationships
We are looking for:
-Someone who has their ACA or ACCA qualification or is working towards it
-Solid accounting and audit skills
-Ideally been responsible for supervising a team
-Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Be highly organised and diligent
-Is comfortable using MS office
In return you can expect:
-GBP25k-GBP28k salary dependant on experience
-Annualised based on 36.25 per week
-23 days holiday + Bank Holidays
-Free parking, 5% employer pension contribution, 2 x DIS, PHI after 2 years, flexible benefits (salary sacrifice scheme), closed over Christmas (3 days to be used)
