Position: Investment Analyst
Location: Surrey

Our client is a FTSE Listed General Insurance company who are currently looking to add a driven and articulate Investments Analyst to their Finance team based in Surrey. The role holder will be working directly with the Head of Investments and having Board level exposure, as well as partnering with the wider FP&A, Risk and Actuarial teams. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team whilst offering both career development and business interaction.
Duties performed involve the following:
* Primarily responsible for providing support for the Group's investment portfolio and reviewing reporting output that is presented to Board level and the Investment Committee
* Lead the production of the Group's monthly investment reports
* Supervise and develop junior Data Analyst
* Support the Head of Investments in; effectiveness of Group's Investment Strategy, Performance of external fund manager and queries from Group's Finance and Investment Committees
* Review and analysis of cash flow forecasts
* Provision of short and long term investment performance projections
* Assist in development of financial/investment models and reports to assess the impact of business opportunities/corporate restructures on the current and future financial results and Group strategic plans, on an ad hoc basis
Background and qualifications required:
* Qualified or studying towards an appropriate accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA or equivalent)
* Proven experience working within an insurance/investments/financial services environment
* Prior experience in a financial analytical environment
* Excellent communication skills
