College Sports Maker
As CSM (College Sports Maker), you will be the main driver for participation of sports and physical activity at the Institute focusing on Sport England priorities specifically for this project. You will have experience in sports development and show a distinct passion for sport and physical activity whilst demonstrating good project management skills.
Reporting to the Learner Success Coordinator, you will provide project management for this funded Sports England project. This will include driving participation of sports and physical activity and measuring key performance indicators.
This is a full time post, requiring the successful candidate to work 37 hours a week.
The post holder will focus on supporting the drive to increase regular participation in sport by young people aged 14-19, playing a key role co-ordinating and developing the provision, and building and sustaining effective partnerships with National Governing Bodies (NGBs), the local County Sport Partnership (CPS) and other community sports providers. You will need to create and maintain effective and active links with sports clubs in the community to widen the offer to all students. The CSM is an integral part of College and student life and an advocate for sports development within the College
Experience of planning and leading progressive coaching sessions leading to sustainable community participation together with demonstrable involvement in community/sports project work or other sports activities including disability sport is also essential.
