Graduate Geo-environmental Engineer / Geologist
Your duties in this role will include:
Due to expansion our client requires a graduate Geo-environmental Engineer, to be based in their Stoke Prior Office which is near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. The ideal candidate would have up to two years experience including soil and rock description, although graduate engineers with little or no experience will also be considered. Suitable degrees would be Geology, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering and Environmental Science. They carry out primarily Brownfield and some Greenfield geotechnical and contaminated land assessments for commercial and residential developers throughout the UK. This role involves office and site work comprising, desk top studies, site investigations, contaminated land assessments, supervision of site investigations, risk assessments, regulatory liaison, ground gas and groundwater assessments, chemical and geotechnical laboratory analysis, factual reporting as well as many other areas of work.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
They are looking for someone to be trained up to become part of their close knit team. The right candidate should have a full clean driving licence and preferably their own transport although company vehicles are available for site work, a good sense of humour. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person who should be, practical, resourceful and able to work independently as well as being part of team. Initially a 4 month probation period reviewed after for a permanent role.
Salary and reward package:
£16,500- £22,500 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications.
