Job Title: Accounts Portfolio Manager (Agricultural clients)

Location: Banbury, Oxon

Salary: GBP45,000 to GBP50,000 DOE & Neg

Our client is an established, well-known and highly respected Chartered Accountancy Practice in Banbury, Oxon. Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Portfolio Manager to focus on their farming/agricultural clientele. This is an exciting role in a meritocratic company where there is a genuine possibility of partnership in the future.

Our client offers flexible working hours (within reason) and the chance to manage your own workload. You will not be chained to your desk and you will be expected to be out, meeting clients and getting some good, honest mud on your shoes (a pair of wellies is probably a must!).

Main purpose and responsibilities:

As a Manager within the Agriculture and Property team you will manage a team of accountants and trainees, you will be responsible for overseeing a sizeable portfolio of our client's key agricultural clients and provide a high quality, cost effective and timely accountancy and tax focussed service. Developing an understanding of your clients and their businesses, you'll become their main point of contact for any day-to-day accounting queries. You'll oversee the preparation of tax returns and accounts as well as managing the team's progression and development.

Keys skills and qualifications:

* ACA or ACCA Qualification
* Educated to degree-level or equivalent
* CTA or equivalent tax qualification
* A genuine passion, understanding and empathy for the farming community
* Minimum of 3 years proven Accounts and Tax experience within a Practice environment
* Minimum of 2 years proven experience at manager level within a Practice environment
