Our Reading based client, a leading organisation within the financial services industry, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their team taking responsibility for the commercial delivery of the required support services to the Financial Planners and their clients.

The key responsibility with this role will be to manage a team of 20 to 30 Financial Planning Administrators and Para-planners, including taking full responsibility for performance management, training and developing the team and providing support to the team when necessary.

Alongside the Regional Sales Managers, they will also be jointly responsible for the commercial management of clients and the delivery of agreed cost and income targets.

Person specification:

* Experienced in leading and managing teams.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Experience of conducting successful interviews.
* Ability to train others.
* Discrete, confidential, and trustworthy.
* Well organised with effective time and project management skills.
* Commercial mind-set.
* Previous experience of working in the financial services industry preferably financial advice.
* Be self-motivated, positive and enthusiastic.
* Be customer oriented.
* Able to make responsible and effective decisions
* Able to meet targets and handle a high pressure environment
* Sound knowledge of back office and platform systems
