Job purpose

Responsible for the management of the UK premises, including security, maintenance, and other services. Ensuring that the needs of the organisation, employees, and/or visitors are met. Ownership of all 3rd party relationships and first point of contact for IT and technical issues.

Duties and responsibilities

Manager relationships with 3rd party suppliers
project management and supervising and coordinating the work of contractors;
directing, coordinating and planning essential central services such as, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling;
preparing documents to put out tenders for contractors;
calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money

Management of the UK Site
planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives;
managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities;
ensuring meeting of health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation;

First point of contact & resolution for technical and IT queries
Escalation point for UK staff with day to day IT issues
Point of contact for IT teams across Europe
Management of IT access process for the UK business
Ownership of hardware ordering and stock management
Ownership of video conferencing and predictive dialler technology

Own the stock management process for the UK business
Manager the relationship with the terminal distribution partner
Manage the stock ordering and management process to ensure optimal performance
People management

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business management, facilities management, or a related field preferred
5 years + facilities experience
Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and requirements
interpersonal and communication skills;
must techy savvy and able to trouble shoot general IT queries
Organisation and planning skills;
Leadership skills;
Ability to guide and motivate employees;

Working conditions

Occasional travel, flexibility of hours to meet business and 3rd party demands. Strong relationship management skills required to support the vendor management process
