An exceptional opportunity for an experienced Payroll professional to join market leading outsourcing business.

A varied role supervising a small payroll team. As Payroll Team Leader you are likely to be a subject matter expert in the field and have experience of complex payrolls, ideally within a shared service environment.

What you will do:

To prepare management information and present at regular Team Leader meetings.
*

To manage a results-focused team by ensuring -
*

Transactional activity relating to terms and conditions e.g. new starters, leavers, contract changes, payroll processing and HR administration associated with recruitment,are delivered effectively.
*

Ensure HR and Payroll transactions are processed to standards and deadlines to achieve KPI/PI and service level performance.
*

Transactions are completed accurately and comply with statutory, SCC and Capita's policies and procedures.
*

Ensure payments to Council employees/non employees are paid accurately and on the specified pay date.
*

Ensure effective distribution of P45's and P60's and pay advice slips.

*

To contribute to delivery of business and project plans.
*

To act as first point of escalation for investigation and resolution of customer complaints / incidents
Your experience will include:
*

Experience of working within an operational HR/Payroll shared service environment, alternatively experience of complex payrolls.
*

Excellent organisational skills/experience, demonstrated by the ability to develop work plans for a team
*

Experience of working within a HR and/ or Payroll regulatory framework.
*

Experience of managing and maintaining operational processes and procedures to comply with policies and data protection.
*

Any supervisory experience would be beneficial, although not essential
*

Good systems skills
