Our client is recruiting for an Accountant, with qualified practice experience, to take on the role of Team Leader, within their recruitment sector.

Summary of role

the prime function of this role is to provide bookkeeping, timesheet and management accounts services to recruitment clients, along with leading the team.

Overall responsibilities

The following list of responsibilities is not designed to be exclusive, but serves to illustrate the scope of the area:

?? Using Xero cloud based software and associated add-ons;

?? VAT returns

?? Nominal ledger maintenance

?? Supplier payment runs

?? Preparation of year end files

?? Periodic management reporting

?? Budgets and forecasting

?? Bookkeeping and management reporting

?? Supporting staff

?? Processing timesheets

?? Raising invoices

?? PAYE/CIS reporting; and

?? AWR and Onshore Intermediary reporting

?? Timesheet processing support

?? Visiting clients to assess system requirements

?? Implementing new systems and processes

?? Training and customer support

?? Managing the workloads of others

?? Training and support

?? Responsibility for deliverables

?? Building strong client relationships

?? Statutory accounts

?? Taxation

?? Portfolio client management.

The successful candidate will be given full training for the role.

Skills required for the role

?? An ability to work quickly and accurately

?? An eye for detail

?? An ability to work to deadlines

?? An ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism

?? Strong organisational skills

?? Computer literate

?? An ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English

?? Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential

?? Leadership and team building skills

?? Useful qualifications include specialist qualifications such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA for example.
