Bookkeeping/ Payroll Junior
An excellent opportunity to join this proactive company based in Letchworth, who are experiencing a period of growth. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in a company with a real track record for success.
Overall responsibilities
The bookkeeping/payroll juniors primary role will be to support the members of the team in their daily duties and to quickly take on responsibilities of their own.
The role will include:
?? Using Xero cloud based bookkeeping software
?? General bookkeeping
?? VAT returns
?? Management accounts
?? Timesheet processing
?? Administration of payroll processing
?? Preparation of payroll reports and pay-slips for submission to clients.
?? Error checking
?? Processing of SSP, SMP and SPP
?? Liaising with internal and external contacts.
?? Processing timesheets
?? Raising invoices
The successful candidate will be given full training for the role.
Skills required for the role:
?? A minimum of a five GCSEs at grade C or above;
?? Excellent communication skills and high standards of written and spoken English;
?? Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise workload;
?? Ability to work independently with some guidance;
?? Attention to detail, a professional approach to the tasks given and lots of common sense;
?? Excellent customer service skills; and
?? Excellent keyboard skills - intermediate or advanced experience of Excel would be a distinct advantage.
