Position: Senior Internal Auditor - Operations, H&S, Risk

Salary: GBP33,000 plus car allowance bonus, pension & health insurance

Location: Glasgow

Our client is a leading global Facilities Management company. Established in 1985, privately owned they provide maintenance & engineering, technical procurement & support and cleaning and ancillary services in dedicated partnerships with offices in Europe, Australia, Africa and North America.

They are now looking to recruit an Internal Operations Auditor Senior Team Member based in their HO in Glasgow. This is an immediate vacancy.

Key Responsibilities include: -

•Team leader for audits/business reviews, as identified via the Internal Audit plan, to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, operational instructions and best practice procedures
•Execution of audit fieldwork including the documentation and evaluation of internal procedures, operating processes and controls and supporting systems
•Communication of audit findings and recommendations for improvement after audits, to relevant Internal Audit Management, for communication with relevant business personnel - both written and verbal
•Works with others to implement plans and projects that improve internal control process, solicit feedback and follow up on recommendations and subsequent remediation points to ensure improved controls and processes are implemented in a timely manner.
•Ensures that all audit review work is documented in accordance with appropriate standards

Candidate's qualifications and experience: -

•Experienced auditor in documentation, testing, remediation of deficiencies, process reviews and improvement activities, working closely with management to achieve Internal Control objectives
•Completed ICAS training contract/experience in Operational Audits
•Ability to identify, understand and map the key processes and controls associated within various sectors of the business to address key risks
•Professional, articulate and with a friendly personality having the ability to negotiate the environment in which they would work, presenting themselves and liaising with business and client contacts from different levels of seniority and experience, adapting their approach accordingly.
