This is a varied and interesting role reporting to the Chief Accountant, where main responsibilities include the production of monthly management accounts, bank reconciliations, month end results, assisting with annual statutory statements, reviewing overheads, accruals and pre-payments, budgets and forecasts, oversight of the payroll bureau, employee incentives and expenses. You will also be responsible for management of the purchase ledger function and a direct report, pension enrolment processes, audit assistance, business planning and modelling and the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and internal procedures.
The successful candidate will have previous Management Accountant experience and will ideally have a CIMA qualification. You will need to have strong interpersonal and numeracy skills, in addition to prior experience of budgeting and forecasting. You also need to be proficient with Word and Excel and have an analytical and logical approach to problem solving and good commercial understanding. Previous team management experience is preferred, but may not be essential.
