The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation and management of the Company Payroll Department the Group Payroll Manager coordinates, directs and controls payroll and expenses preparation and distribution for all employees.

The Group Payroll Supervisor/Manager is accountable for ensuring the accurate processing of the Company's Payroll and Expenses operation, currently through the Resourcelink system.

Duties included:
• The end to end processing and management of the Company's payroll and expenses process using the integrated HR and Payroll system, Resourcelink.
• Collate information for the above, process, produce reports and journals and coordinate an accurate and efficient filing system.
• The preparation of coding and processing journals.
• The production of various payroll related reports as requested by line management.
• Manage and oversee the P11D process in an efficient and orderly manner.
• Manage the monthly reconciliation of HMRC payments, Company Pension, Childcare vouchers etc.
• Compile and adhere to a Group Payroll Department service level agreement ensuring that the internal customer base is met which meets the needs of the business.
• Maintaining employee confidence and protecting the Payroll operation by keeping information confidential.
• The compliance to statutory requirements, including payment rates set by HMRC through keeping updated with existing and new legislation. Enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on critical and needed actions.
• The supervision and coordination of payroll staff including managing performance and development.
• Reviewing and improving Payroll policies and procedures where appropriate.
• Responsible for conducting and overseeing compliance checks as per Company policy or upon management request.
• Monthly reconciliations of payroll related accounts.
• Journals posted onto the Agresso accounting system in line with timescales set.
• Provision of base payroll information for the Annual Report and Accounts.
• Liaise with external auditors on the audit of the payroll system.

Striving to develop and implement continuous improvement of the Payroll system, related documentations and its operation.

Applicants must have experience of;

• Payroll Introduction.
• Agresso Overview.
• Experience and in depth knowledge of the Resourcelink system.
• Management or supervisory experience in a Payroll environment.
• Numerically proficient and able to calculate manually to a high standard.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work calmly under and pressure whilst maintaining excellent levels of customer service to colleagues as required.
• Excellent time keeping and organisational skills.
• System implementation experience.
• Highly competent in problem analysis and problem solving skills.
• The ability to offer concise, expert advice upon request
