A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Payroll and Finance Administrator to join our clients Finance team.

The purpose of this role is to administer the company payroll and associated statutory reporting obligations, be responsible for the administration of credit cards, company insurance arrangements, employee expenses and maintain vendor master data on internal Finance systems.

Key Accountabilities:

Payroll
Collate, process and submit the monthly payroll.
Maintain and update all payroll processes, actively identifying and implementing process efficiencies and optimising compliance.
Main point of contact for payroll queries from employees.
Ensure monthly payroll reports are prepared and payroll accounts are reconciled.
Preparation of payments to statutory authorities.
Process statutory year end returns, e.g. P60's, P35's and P11D's along with other HMRC statutory requirements.
Deal with other ad-hoc payments and manual calculations as required.

Finance
Administer company credit cards including ordering credit cards, reconciliation of credit card accounts, tax treatment on statements and accurate record keeping.
Manage and administer the company's insurance arrangements.
Set up staff expenses accounts and administer expense claims in line with company policy and tax requirements.
Set up and maintain vendor master data.

Candidate Profile:

3 - 5 years' experience in a payroll position.
Experience in the management or administration of an outsourced payroll.
Experience in the administration of statutory year end returns, e.g. P11d, P60 is essential.
Strong knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Excel is essential.
Experience in the use of SAP is desirable but not essential.
Institute of Payroll Professional membership is desirable but not essential.
Experience of process improvement desired.
