Our client is a well-established corporate accountancy practice, which has a major focus on larger customers and fee income targeting higher value-add products and on international organisations operating in the UK. Due to significant growth and business success over recent years, they are looking for an Accounts Assistant who is in the early stages or currently studying towards their AAT qualification.

The role is to support new offices focussing on South and Mid Bucks, Bedfordshire and the M1 corridor, and an established satellite office in London to increase catchment areas and widen the market coverage

Key Requirements:

• Early stages or studying for AAT qualifications.
• Able to expand by your own example, client interaction, fee growth and personal development into a more senior role over time.
• Be team orientated, need to get involved and recognise that your personal drive will influence your own and the team's performance.
• Enjoy working to deadlines and are focused enough to want to exceed the most unreasonable customer demands.
• Career minded, dedicated and willing to prove your worth.
• Be able and knowledgeable and competent on Microsoft Word and Excel and be able to learn new accounting programs within reasonable timescales.
• Have experience of Sage Line 50 or an equivalent accounting software.

Job Description:

• Complete year-end financial accounts work to trial balance for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies increasing personal knowledge through training and experience.
• Complete monthly or quarterly management accounts work to trial balance for local clients of varying complexities.
• Have an understanding or higher level of competence in business and personal income tax.
• Manage a number of direct client relationships and be the first point of contact for a wider number of customer relationships.
• Maintain a personal development plan to update your own technical knowledge through formal and information training to the standards set by your association.
• Actively participate in the activities and business needs of the business.
• Have a full driving licence.
