Our Client
An international bank head-quartered in the City of London who have been growing at a steady pace are now actively looking to recruit an Operations Manager/Head of Operations on a full-time and permanent basis.
The role would involve managing overseeing and directing the functions and activities within the Operations Department, which covers Bills Services, Customers Services, Settlement, and EDP & SWIFT
Accountability
To work effectively and independently with reasonable supervision from Branch Manager
Fully accountable for:-
o Managing the full spectrum of activities undertaken by the different sections and areas within the Operations Department
o Maintenance and management of customer relationships to achieve total customer satisfaction via delivery of high quality customer services in order to attract and retain customers and to contribute towards achieving the Branch business growth and profitability targets
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
1. Oversee, manage, supervise and direct the operations to ensure smooth functioning within the Department
2. Identify, manage, measure and monitor operational risks exposure via a comprehensive framework of policies, techniques, control and procedures
3. Assist the Branch Manager to achieve operational targets and to implement directives and strategies pertaining to the Operations Department
4. Monitor and enforce relevant statutory and corporate compliance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures relating to the Sections within the Operations Department
5. Authorize transactions in accordance with Branch internal delegation of authority and signing limits
6. Maintain good rapport with customers and ensure the provision of fast and efficient services to meet their needs and requirements
7. Conduct periodic review of applicable charges and interest rates to maintain Branch competitive position
8. Assume joint responsibilities for Branch risk management, control and governance processes by participating in and contributing to the functions undertaken by Branch Credit Committee and Management Committee
9. Provide a consultative and advisory role to Branch Manager on operational issues
10. Handle administrative matters relating to the Operations Department, which includes annual budget, training and development needs of subordinates
11. Create, revise and update the Branch Business Continuity Plan
12. Oversee the annual Disaster Recovery Test
13. Spearhead projects and undertake special assignments as directed by the Branch Manager
