We are looking to recruit an experienced IBA Credit Controller to join an expanding Lloyds Broker based in the City where you will be responsible for supporting the London Speciality Business Team dealing with clients in the UK and Overseas to meet demands and needs in order to achieve optimum profitable renewal, retention and growth of business. Working with Account Executives, Account Handlers and Business Directors you will assist with queries they have and the collection process.

Key responsibilities will include:

Chase outstanding premiums from Clients as per the Company Procedure;
Record and maintain Client and Business records in line with Company Procedure;
Escalate any issues with your designated clients to your Team Leader within reasonable timescale;
Constantly reviewing process and making suggestions to enhance collections and operating methods;
Hold regular forums with business contacts to raise or resolve any issues as they arise;
Reconcile unmatched cash over 30 days of arising as per agreed procedures;
Prevent funding from occurring but where inevitable clear funded balances over 30 days as per agreed procedures;
Settle any credit balances as and when required within settlement due date;
Facilitate training and support for overseas offices as and when required;
Comply with the Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements for role;
Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business.

Experience, knowledge and skills required:

Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent;
MS Office Proficiency;
At least 2 years IBA accounts experience;
Strong Business to Business Credit Control experience;
Ability to complete large complex reconciliations on Client accounts;
Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered to;
Professional in manner and presentation;
Sound Customer Service Skills;
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally;
Analytical problem solving approach;
Takes initiative has a 'can do' attitude;
Results driven;
Eligible to work in the UK
