Paralegal/Legal Collector
Lynx Services are recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client based in Sheffield. Our client specialise in providing services to Financial Institutions across the UK.
Due to head count increase our client is looking to recruit a full time permanent Paralegal/Legal Collector. the hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
As a Paralegal/Legal Collector your role will involve the following:
Receiving and making collection calls
Gather and record information by asking appropriate questions
Monitor arrangements & commitments to ensure timely resolution
Manage a diary system to take appropriate follow up action
Review pre-legal debts to assess suitability for legal action
Initiate county court legal actions for debt recovery and progress to judgment and enforcement
Pursue defended claims through small claims, fast track and multi-track by drafting pleadings, witness statements and producing court bundles
Advise clients on prospects for successful recovery and assist with overcoming disputes and reasons for non payment
Work with courts, enforcement agencies and other suppliers to ensure high standards of service are maintained at all times
The candidate:
Previous experience preferably within a debt litigation role
Professional
Ability to communicate with people at all levels
Negotiation skills
Numeracy skills
Disciplined approach to time keeping and process flows
GCSE English & Maths
Knowledge and experience of the Civil Procedure Rules relating to money claims would be advantageous
