Our client, a well-established and successful firm of Chartered Accountants, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their busy practice based in Slough. You would be joining a professional, friendly practice and the successful candidate will be working on a portfolio of clients, covering a variety of business activities and sizes.
Job Description
Accounts Senior or Semi-Senior required for an expanding, dynamic practice dealing with a wide range of small and medium sized enterprises.
Key Accountabilities
The successful candidate will be required to assist the Team Manager in the provision of accounting and taxation services.
Duties will include:
Production of client accounts through to year end statutory accounts
Reviewing and finalising accounts
Supervising and reviewing the work of junior staff
Completing company and personal tax returns
Communicating with the client
Working independently to produce accounts from incomplete records
Working with SME and small limited companies
Reporting to partner
Candidates should:
Have at least 3 to 5 years' experience working in general practice
Be extremely confident and capable in finalising accounts
Have exceptional communication skills
Have a working knowledge of current tax rules and FRRSEs
Be of smart, presentable appearance
You will ideally be an ACCA or ACA qualified/part qualified Accountant or qualified by experience within a similar role
