This is an exciting opportunity for an articulate and confident individual to take up a key role within our client's busy fuel sales team. Our client is an established and highly successful national, multi-site business based in North Devon. The position is permanent and will require a candidate who has previous experience of working in a telephone based sales or customer account management role, ideally within a fuel or oil sales company but we will consider candidates from a telephone based sales role. As a team member within the Fuel team you will be on the phone talking to existing account customers, new customers and oil delivery companies most of the day; working to achieve improved buying prices and maintain positive supplier and account customer relationships. About the job???

The main objective for the Telesales Executive / Fuel Trader is to get the best prices for account customers; maintain existing accounts; grow new accounts and develop strong business relationships with suppliers. You will need to be pro-active and self-motivated and enjoy a telephone based job. Managing these fuel categories will require a comprehensive approach that will include, supplier negotiations, agreeing preferential terms, designing and implementing key marketing strategies and developing the business in line with good financial management. Day to day duties will include the following:

• Dealing with incoming sales enquiries and calling suppliers to negotiate the best prices.
• Making outgoing sales calls to existing and new customers.
• To manage fuel product categories within department on a day to day basis.
• Identify, evaluate & implement new business opportunities
• To implement effective marketing strategies to the target audience
• To manage, measure and develop financial performance of product categories in line with the company ethos and budget requirements
• Working with the fuel team to ensure product knowledge & training within product categories is in place to maximise customer service & sales conversion.
• Maintenance of product & supplier stock files
• Manage supplier relationships directly, & through the fuel sales team
• Working with the Office Manager, ensure the highest level of customer service is employed at all times

The right person ???

• Experience of working within a fuel sales role would be preferred, however, we will consider candidates with strong telephone based sales / account management experience
• Energy, enthusiasm and a clear desire to be part of a very successful company
• Positive, pro-active personality good at building rapport over the phone.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines
• IT Skills to include MS Word, Excel
