Our client is a CQC registered non-emergency ambulance service providing transportation for NHS trust patients, transporting over 400,000 patients every year. They currently recruiting for an Assistant to Controllers to join their team at head office. Reporting to the Control Room Manager, this role is ideal for a candidate from a highly pressurised customer services, call centre and administrative background.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitoring internal booking system and identifying bookings that are running behind schedule
Calling drivers to establish arrival times
Tracking drivers using internal tracking system
Answering and dealing with patient/driver/clinic queries
Liaising with transport controllers
Pro-actively managing patient problems to find solutions
Accurately entering patient details via -dockets- onto internal IT system
General administration duties
Attend H&S training sessions
Engage in all refresher training as part of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Candidate Requirements:
Experience of using internal IT systems to a high standard
Ability to demonstrate a wide range of excellent communication skills
Proven ability to be flexible within an environment
Good IT skills
Previous Cleric experience
Ability to multi task whilst under pressure
Strong organisation skills
Strong work ethic and willing to go extra mile to deliver good patient care
Able to complete a satisfactory enhanced DBS and ISA Adult First Check
Must be willing to work flexible shifts on occasion

Terms and Conditions:
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
Overtime is payable for the position
The right candidate will be offered a competitive salary depending on experience
Lunch is provided
28 days holidays per year inclusive of bank holidays
