Our client is a CQC registered non-emergency ambulance service providing transportation for NHS trust patients, transporting over 400,000 patients every year. They are currently recruiting for a Controller to join their team, reporting to the Control Room Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage a number of vehicle events
Keep patients updated at all times
Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders
Manage patient and trust queries in an efficient and professional manner
Checking the daily planned workload
Checking paperwork and dealing with/amending any errors
Pro-actively managing patient problems to find solutions
General administration duties
Attend Health and Safety training sessions
Report and record any unsafe practices, or workplace hazards
Promote and encourage health and safe working.
Engage in all refresher training as part of their Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Candidate Requirements:
Experience within a highly pressurised Planning/Controller role
Flexible, self motivated and can work unsupervised
Previous Cleric experience is highly desirable
Customer focused in approach and diplomatic in manner
Experience of a patient transport environment is desirable
Excellent geographical knowledge of South East London area
Proven ability to be flexible within an environment
Highly patient focused in attitude with caring approach
Able to complete a satisfactory enhanced DBS and ISA Adult First Check
Must be well organised and hard working
Able to remain calm under pressure
Ability to multi task whilst under pressure
Experience of using internal IT systems to a high standard
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Terms and Conditions:
Overtime is payable for the position
20 days holiday per year
Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off 7am until 7pm with a 60 minute unpaid break
You will be required to work weekends and public holidays as part of your shift pattern
38.6 hours per week
Lunch will be provided
Salary is dependent on experience
