Our company client is an international Consultancy firm who are now looking to appoint a dynamic and articulate Senior UX Director to their team with a European remit.The business work with a significant reputable consumer facing businesses across a variety of sectors such as Insurance, Banking, Telco, Life-science and Retail. This is an exciting opportunity for career progression.

Job summary and duties performed:

* The role will report directly into the Global VP of User Experience, they have thousands of employees across the US, Asia and Europe but despite their size, it is a young, innovative and rapidly growing company and therefore is a chance to really accelerate your career.
* Solve design challenges. You have expert experience in either UX / interaction design, information architecture, and/or visual design. While it's rare to find someone deeply skilled in all design disciplines, you are skilled in at least two. You are also able to structure and draw insights from user research, create artefacts that illustrate how an application will look and work, and evaluate designs through usability testing. For example, you'll create annotated wireframes, visual design comps, user flows, and/or paper and interactive prototypes as necessary in order to explore ideas and document design decisions.
* Lead the design effort. You are able to direct, critique, and coach the UX team; participate in user research and analysis; and have experience structuring usability tests and interpreting results. You help teams deliver on time and on budget by managing scope and balancing business needs, user needs, and technical elegance/complexity.
* Work with clients. Clients look to you as a leader and expert. You are comfortable facilitating client discussions and defending design decisions to clients and the development team. With deep experience and strong consulting skills, you can handle challenging client relationships.
* Help sell. You assist with business development when needed: helping understand a client's needs; sharing points of view and potential solutions; presenting to senior client stakeholders; and assisting with proposals and statements of work.

Profile required for this role:

* Due to the nature of the role and company, they are particularly interested in someone with a consultancy background that has experience in and also a willingness to lead and grow a team.
* It is a leadership role but they want someone who is not afraid to roll their sleeves up and design, leading the team by example.
