Personal Care Assistant required for a Child

A personal Care Assistant is required for a visually impaired child with additional learning difficulties in the Annan area, to promote and enable independence by accessing local facilities and wider community resources in the spirit of social inclusion and to develop and expand social networks and friendships.

You would be responsible with assisting the child with homework tasks.

You would be required to work up to 18 hours per week, holiday cover also required so flexibility would be an advantage.

Successful applicant should be a caring and enthusiastic person who understands the complex needs of a young disabled child. The ability to work under your own initiative is essential.

Rate of pay £9.00 per hour increasing to £9.50 per hour on successful completion of a probationary period.

The position is subject to satisfactory references and protection of vulnerable group’s scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
