Temporary for nine months

Are you ex-forces and looking for a challenging and rewarding role?

Are you passionate about recovery from substance misuse?

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a full-time post working with serving Armed Forces personnel, Veterans, Reservists and their families who have issues with alcohol and drug misuse. You will work with individuals, undertaking referrals and assessments, managing a caseload, completing recovery care plans, and providing information, advice and needle exchange to substance users.

A key responsibility of the role will be to collect data, statistics and client case stories to support the future funding of the service, therefore you must be highly organised, with good administrative and report writing skills.

The office base for this post is Colchester but will involve extensive travel across Essex, therefore the ability to drive and access to a car is essential. Evening work may sometimes be necessary depending on the needs of the clients.

This post is restricted to veterans of the Armed Forces and is funded by The Royal British Legion. This is a 9 month contract but with the possibility of extension.

Our client is a value driven charity working across Norfolk and Suffolk giving help and hope through programmes with adults, young people and communities affected by drugs and alcohol. They have a vision to reach every part of the community in the most creative, effective and efficient ways. Through our client’s varied services, young people and adults receive professional advice, information, counselling, support, care and education.

Our client welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds, of any faith or none. You will join a charity that has a Christian ethos and you will share our client’s focus on their mission, values, clients and colleagues with a strong team spirit. They offer a rewarding, challenging role with their commitment to well-being and development.
