An interesting opportunity is available for a Trainee Webshop Department Manager to join an independently owned chain of discount retail outlets situated throughout the East of England. Based in Norfolk, Norwich the successful Trainee Webshop Department Manager will earn £17,000 plus, depending on experience.

The role of the Trainee Webshop Department Manager is to efficiently manage the Ecommerce Warehouse operation on a daily basis. You will also be responsible for adhering to Company Policies and Procedures whilst reaching budgets and targets. The main duties of the Trainee Web Shop Manager include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage the Ecommerce Warehouse Picking & Dispatch Assistants/agency staff workloads, staff rotas/holiday and team appraisals
  • Manage website orders so they are despatched on-time
  • Manage the ecommerce inventory, warehouse space management and productivity, including stock taking
  • Manage the checking off inbound/outbound deliveries and associated systems processes
  • Maintain ecommerce customer care to an exceptional standard via email, telephone, market places, review portals and payment providers
  • Proactively communicate with customers to resolve any issues to an exceptional standard including; deliveries, returns, replacements and general enquiries
  • Source out of stock products via the company distribution centres and store locations to satisfy customer back orders
  • Raise purchase orders for third party warehoused products to ensure a timely delivery to the customer including regular customer delivery communication updates
  • Liaise with couriers to arrange customer deliveries and collections
  • Reconcile orders daily between company systems
  • Responsible for the security with the Ecommerce Warehouse site
  • Approve third party invoices
  • Order all Ecommerce Warehouse stationary and packing materials
  • Reporting on stock discrepancies including liaising with the Ecommerce Manager on products that have been received at the warehouse that are not published on the company’s website
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for you and colleagues at all times
  • Flexible in regard to hour and days of work
  • Attend any courses/seminars deemed relevant to the position
The successful Trainee Webshop Department Manager will ideally have previous experience in a similar role. In addition, you will also possess the following skills and experience:
  • Demonstrable supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong computer literacy skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Good standard of Literacy and Numeracy
  • Mature approach/attitude in the work place
  • Good people skills with the ability to successfully manage a team
  • Organised with a good level of administration skills
  • Resourceful with the ability to work fast and efficiently
  • Willingness to learn Company policies/procedures
  • Any other qualifications or relevant NVQ’s, Health and Safety Certificates etc. is desirable but not essential
