Our client is currently recruiting for a Procurement Analyst to join their team. The objective of this role is to primarily maintain satisfactory levels of stock, within agreed parameters and whilst minimising costs. This is an ideal position for either a graduate looking for their first buying role or someone looking to gain a solid amount of experience in a fast paced buying department.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining ERP database to facilitate inventory analysis
Ascertain stock order requirements through analysis, forecasting and the application of logic
Scheduling inventory purchases and estimating arrival times
Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and periodic supplier evaluation
Actively analysing and questioning stock planning variables
Maintaining accurate records of purchases, price changes and supplier lead times
Liaising with stakeholders at all levels
Organising the logistics of domestic and international orders
Ensuring that goods purchased are to specification in terms of quality, quantity and delivery
Producing stock holding reports to highlight inventory issues

Candidate Requirements:
Minimum of A Level Maths Grade B
A maths/procurement degree is desirable
Knowledge of statistical maths is essential
Purchasing experience is desirable
Visual basic programming knowledge is desirable
Advanced MS Excel and outlook skills are essential
Strong communication & logical thinking ability

The successful candidate will be a proven self-starter, able to work well in both isolation and with a variety of people at all levels around the company (both in the UK and overseas).This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional who is just starting out in their career and is looking for an opportunity to progress in a growing company.
