Serving a broad customer base, from the proud garden owner to the world’s most famous sports grounds, our client is a pioneering manufacturer of precision lawnmowers. They are now looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Stafford. 

Within a fast-paced and exciting environment, you will have the chance to build on your existing skill-set whilst helping to maintain our client’s reputation for quality. 

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that products are manufactured to the highest standards. You will also maintain our client’s plant and machinery. 

In this diverse role, you’ll establish quality standards based on customers’ requirements and design test methods to ensure that components and finished assemblies are of a high quality. 

You will establish, audit and maintain quality documentation, controls and procedures and identify ways to enhance the manufacturing process for new and existing products. 

Additionally, you will provide training and guidance to Machine Operators and Assembly Line Workers, creating and updating work instructions when necessary. 

Your other duties will involve: 

- Identifying and minimising potential safety risks 
- Ensuring that maintenance plans are carried out 
- Making sure that emergency breakdowns are resolved in a timely manner

To be considered, you must have: 

- Previous quality experience 
- Experience of robotic welders, such as Fanuc, semi-automatic welding and CNC controls 
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic applications 
- The ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings 

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you must be an excellent communicator with a methodical, hands-on approach. You must also be a self-motivated team player with great problem-solving skills. 

Certificates relating to power press setting, abrasive wheels, forklifts and slinging would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
