Serving companies across the globe for nearly 40 years, our client is a specialist manufacturer of high quality and cutting-edge sieving machinery and equipment. Due to expansion, a fantastic opportunity has now arisen for a Buyer to join their team on the outskirts of Basingstoke.

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate resources are in place to meet our client???s manufacturing demands.

Working closely with the Engineering & Production departments, you???ll raise purchase orders from bills of materials (BOMs) that have been prepared by the Engineering Design Team. Utilising your strong planning skills, and systematic progress-chasing ability, you???ll ensure that purchased product, is delivered on-time to meet project milestones.

Your other duties will include:
- Ensuring that projects are completed in line with order schedules
- Interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Attending regular production meetings and providing updates on purchasing matters
- Liaising with existing suppliers and seeking out supply chain opportunities

Candidate Requirements:
- Experience gained in either an engineering or manufacturing environment ideally with knowledge of Machined and Fabricated Parts
- Must be flexible and forward-thinking with a hands-on approach
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to change are also key
- Knowledge of Sage, Sage Batch Controller and MRP systems would be beneficial to your application

Working hours: 37.5 per week over 5 days (Mon-Fri)
Holiday: 28 days
