Story Contracting is currently enjoying a strong period of growth and in order to expand our business we now have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Manager.
Based from our Carlisle Head Office and reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will manage the vehicle fleet and associated administration, insurance aspects and ensuring the highest levels of compliance, safety and commerciality is achieved.
Fleet Manager Purpose
You will cost effectively manage all road-going vehicles operated by Story Contracting, preparing annual budgets and financial reports, ensuring the fleet is optimally utilised, purchasing and leasing vehicles and necessary equipment as well as monitoring fuel usage and prices and allocating costs accordingly. As Fleet Manager you will also take ownership of the fleet tracking system, and interrogate data from reports such as speeding, aggressive driving and MPG.
Skills & Experience Required for the Fleet Manager
You will have experience of fleet management in the car or commercial vehicle environment and knowledge of vehicle insurance matters, management software and tracking packages. A CPC licence would be extremely advantageous.
Alongside possessing a strong financial aptitude with an ability to analyse costs, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure with flexibility and versatility.
