They have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Personal Coach to join them to deliver consistent, out-standing CEIAG to young people in Surrey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision of IAG to young people in schools, colleges and academies to help them make realistic choices about education, training and work.
- Responsibility for a cohort of Year 11 young people to provide intensive support during the Year 11-12 transition period.
- Supporting young people's decision making (post 16 education, employment and training), applications, and progress into Year 12.
- Interviewing one to one and in small groups, to identify student career aspirations and supporting them to achieve these goals.
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- A careers advisor qualification - a postgraduate diploma in careers guidance or NVQ 4 or above.
- Experience of delivering professional advice and guidance to young people in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to motivate and build rapport with young people.
- Flexibility, adaptability and innovation.
- An empathetic, non-judgmental and ethical approach.
- The ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- The ability to manage your own caseload and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills and problem-solving skills.
- Strong IT skills.
- A degree or HND/foundation qualification in a sociological, educational, or health related topic would be useful.
As this job involves working with young people a full, enhanced DBS check will be required of the successful applicant. The role requires regular travel within the region with laptop and phone provided.
