Deputy Care Manager

An opportunity to join the region's number one care home providing care for 60 older people with residential and dementia care needs. Salary £20-24K Per annum with scope for future enhancement.

You will be supported financially and professionally to achieve great results and further your own development and knowledge with an experienced management team.

You may be an existing Deputy Care Manager or someone with the drive, experience and capability to step up to the role. The right candidate can progress to Care Manager quickly and be supported to develop as the company expands.

Experience in a similar care environment is essential as is the ability to demonstrate a high level competence in the following areas:


1) Manage a team of senior care staff

2) Manage and support care staff- ensuring best practice is delivered.

3) Motivate and support staff to achieve continual improvement

4) Commitment to provide person centred care to those with and without a dementia

5) Manage up to 30 residents' changing care needs as part of management team

6) Specific knowledge and experience caring for those with a dementia and ability to demonstrate modern person centred care approaches and techniques

7) Awareness of latest CQC KLOEs and standards.

8) Support management team in achieving first class care delivery

9) Communicate and work with outside agencies- GPs, CPNs, Social Workers inc. carrying out reviews.

10) Excellent written and typing skills required to document care notes and notices

11) Write detailed care & support plans

12) Assess and act on changing clients' needs

13) Knowledge of end of life, moving and handling, health and safety, CQC notifications, safeguarding procedures.

14) Medication auditing, changeovers, prescriptions, administering.

15) Contribute to activities programme

16) Organise and plan training modules

17) Strive for your own continual development

18) Take significant responsibility for all aspects of care, working closely with management team and care team
