This leading specialist in the design and manufacture of Mechanical Seals and Support Systems is looking for a Business Assurance Officer.

The Business Assurance Department assure compliance in Quality Assurance, Health and Safety, Environment, Corporate Governance and CSR.

The position is located within the Business Assurance Department at their Global Headquarters in Rotherham, but covers 11 sites in the UK (approx 600 employees).

The Business Assurance Department focuses on applying systems and, where appropriate, certified standards, to ensure that all Business processes are sufficient to enable compliance at all stages while ensuring the philosophy of continuous improvement is embedded and embraced in all its activities.

The role will specifically, but none exhaustively, include: -
- Working as part of the Business Assurance Team to facilitate the Department achieving targets and objectives that are key to the Business.
- Investigating and following up Accidents in line with group procedures and policy.
- Investigating and following up Environmental incidents in line with group procedures and policy.
- Carrying out training and toolbox talks in line with group procedures and policy.
- Working with all level of employees to engender engagement, participation and ownership.
- Participating in and supporting external audits.

The ideal candidate will:
- be IQA / CQI qualified
- have a minimum of 5 years working in Quality management systems having implemented / maintained certified ISO 9001 systems.
- be an experienced auditor, having worked with assessment bodies and led customer, supplier and 3rd party assessments
- Have worked in engineering and service orientated environments

Experience of a rotating equipment background, specifically mechanical seals and pumps would be an advantage, as would knowledge of ISO 18001, 14001 or 50000 systems

You should have a desire to provide exceptional customer service, be able to manage change and eager to drive continuous improvement.

A driving license is essential and a reasonable amount of travel within the UK is required.
