Job Title: Women's Rough Sleeping Caseworker

Location: Bath

Salary: £20,000 per annum

This role is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1 as such we can only consider applications from women.

The charity provides specialist Assertive Outreach and a Homeless Hostel for men and women in Bath, supporting people to move away from life on the streets.

They recognise that women who experience homeless do not always receive a gender specific service which wholly meets their needs.

They have recently secured funding to employ a specialist, to work with women on the streets of Bath, in their hostel and to help in the development of accommodation and support pathways which meet the specific needs presented. In addition to homelessness, many of the female clients have complex psycho social needs including substance misuse, mental health, offending behaviour, experience of domestic abuse and often un-addressed damaging early life and developmental trauma.

The post holder will focus on working with female homeless clients and will have an understanding of the particular issues facing homeless women.

This is an exciting post with capacity to make a difference to the way in which support is delivered and to the development of new and improved services. They are looking for a creative and solution focussed applicant who can help develop this extension to their existing service.

Work will predominantly be undertaken during office hours Monday to Friday, although scheduled early morning and later evening outreach on a rostered basis will be expected. The post holder will need to be flexible as occasional weekend working may be required.
