Senior Project Manager

Location: South West London

Salary: Competitive

A rapidly expanding international software company has a superb opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to manage the scoping, planning and delivery of multiple software projects on a day-to-day basis. Based in London, the selected candidate will have proven project management background with at least 5 years managing software projects.

The appropriate candidate will ensure projects produce the outcomes defined in the business consultancy brief within budgetary constraints whilst proactively managing and controlling risks, developing contingency plans where necessary and ensuring risks are understood and their potential impact managed.

The Senior Project Manager will prepare and manage project documentation and agree plans with the project team and the client to ensure project plans are realistic and progress can be closely monitored, reporting the progress of project performance against an agreed set of measures on a regular basis to all relevant stakeholders.

Requirements of the Senior Project Manager:

  • 5+ years’ experience in deploying and supporting business software applications on a Windows based platform
  • Knowledge and experience of planning and managing complex IT projects
  • Extensive experience in process mapping/process analysis and gathering skills
  • Good written and verbal IT and business communication skills
  • Sound technical understanding of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Extensive experience in process mapping/process analysis and gathering skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, including the ability to deal with conflicting demands, in order to deliver multiple projects, prioritise a heavy workload and fulfil the job requirements
  • Excellent communication and strong documentation skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Professional, highly organised, motivated and responsive to clients
  • Project management certification is preferable but not essential
  • Good understanding of the facilities / property management market is preferable but not essential
