LOCATION: Carlisle
JOB TITLE: Paraplanner
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP24,000 - GBP28,000
WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
THE COMPANY: We are currently working with a firm of independent financial advisors based in Carlisle providing advice to individuals and companies nationwide although primarily in Cumbria, Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. They are now looking to recruit a Paraplanner to join their team.
THE ROLE: As a Paraplanner you will be joining the existing team of Paraplanners, working closely with the Financial Advisors conducting research and writing client reports and preparing paperwork for client meetings.
Key Responsibilities of a Paraplanner to include:-
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will need to have a sound knowledge of pensions, investments and life assurance, including a good understanding of the tax treatments and associated risks in each area of advice. Ideally you will hold the Diploma in Financial Planning or be actively working towards this qualification.

- Day to day administration duties
- Deal with all incoming post and emails
- Speaking to clients over the phone
- Work with other employees and advisors of the firm
- Use internal systems
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will need to have a sound knowledge of pensions, investments and life assurance, including a good understanding of the tax treatments and associated risks in each area of advice. Ideally you will hold the Diploma in Financial Planning or be actively working towards this qualification.
Key experience essential for the Paraplanner role:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working within Financial Services
- High standards of English and Maths
- Lives within a commutable distance to Carlisle
