Transport Front Desk/Planner (Temporary to Permanent)
An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen for a Transport Shift Clerk at our clients distribution centre in Rugby for a fixed term contract of 12 weeks which will lead to a permanent position.
Rotating Shift Pattern
Monday to Saturday 06-00 - 14-00
Monday to Thursday 14-00 - 22-00
The role is dedicated to ensuring the loading and delivery tickets are dealt with and hauliers are monitored and checked and chased at all times.
Customer service should be a high priority for the successful candidate as they will be expected to liaise with the customer on a regular basis.
This role has a strong emphasis on administration and organisation as well as being able to communicate in a direct and detailed manner.
This role would demand the full attention of the shift clerk to ensure that the operation remains compliant and operating to the required standards of the client and the customers.
The Person: -
* Knowledge of transport and transport legislation.
* Able to work within a team environment as well as on own initiative
* Knowledge and understanding of transport driver targets/KPI's.
* Experience of working in a busy pressurised environment
* Excellent PC skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Detailed and thorough in approach
